I did everything listed in the thread and when I ran the converter, this is the message I got:
INFO - No Generic Panels found in folder '/Users/meg/Library/Application Support/Adobe/XMP/Custom File Info Panels/4.0/panels' to convert.

I have hundreds of XMP files (where the software is claiming I don't). I'm using yosemite and CC 2015. Is there a different process than what is listed for PS CC 2014?
I just want to import XMP files into a PS photo and when I select it in the drop down menu, nothing happens. I can export a file without any problems.
Can you please advise?
